GO Premier Mexico

Joe Morton, founder/board member

We were so pleased to host XanGo’s first ever Mexico GO Premier meeting recently, which highlighted some truly amazing leaders throughout Mexico. I love the Mexican heart. Everyone was so kind to us there, some even bringing in delicious Mexican treats!

Several leaders joined our XanGo employee soccer game and we all had a blast. Luis did a bicycle kick in his dress shoes, dress shirt and dress pants – incredible! Not only did they all play in their dress clothes, but they schooled the employees!

All leaders in attendance truly embodied the quote by Belva Davis: “Don’t worry about the space between your dreams and reality.” Thanks to all for your incredible energy and spirit.

Caring and Pairing Up with SOS-Kinderdorf

XanGo Goodness

XanGo Goodness has continued its generous globetrot by welcoming SOS-Kinderdorf as its newest charitable world partner. Since 1949, SOS-Kinderdorf (Children’s Villages) has been committed to protecting children’s rights and needs throughout 132 countries. Focused on family-based, long-term care for children who can no longer remain with their biological families, the Children’s Villages offer reliable relationships, recovery from traumatic experiences and, most of all, unconditional love. The children grow up in a stable family environment, and are supported individually until they become independent adults.

There are 14 SOS Children’s Villages in Germany, and XanGo is proud to have partnered with the northernmost Village—located in Schleswig-Holstein near the Bay of Hohwachter on the Baltic Sea. This particular Village comprises eleven family houses and several support facilities in a self-contained community that accommodates around 70 children. The children still attend school in the public system, shop in town and live active social lives. They vacation for four weeks each summer with other children from SOS-Kinderdorf Villages around Europe—hiking in Sweden or enjoying an 18th-Century style regatta (to name a few of the vacation activities). This also provides vacation time for the dedicated mothers.

Kent from the road

The first of two Operation Smile Missions in Mexico took place the first week of June in Guadalajara. I was lucky to be there, along with Joe Morton and numerous other volunteers that included XanGo executives, employees and 40+ XanGo distributors who had also traveled to Mexico to help with the mission.

Nearly 100 children and a few adults received surgery to correct cleft lip and palate deformities. I will never forget the expressions of gratitude from the parents and families of these individuals: can you imagine how long some of them have dreamed to have these surgeries? In some cases, the wait had been so long, they had probably started to lose hope. And now, because of your success, their dreams have come true.

It was such a neat experience to be able to be there and see the difference our combined efforts have made in the lives of these children; there was a real sense of pride in what we were accomplishing. All in all, it was an amazing bonding experience to share with our distributors and co-workers.

Gordon from the road.

It’s hard to believe it’s already been a year since we first launched our Malaysian market. I recently attended our XanGo Malaysia First Anniversary event in Kuala Lumpur and witnessed Malaysian hospitality at its finest.

The “Birthday Party” at the top of the KL Tower went late into the night and included food, traditional Malaysian Cultural dancers and a live band … definitely a first rate celebration all the way around. The weather was great, the sky was clear and the KL Tower offered a tremendous view of the city and the Petronas Towers.

It was an honor to visit our Malaysian office and to spend time with our local staff and distributors. Special thanks to our US leaders who spoke on the main stage program: Sherman Unkefer, Sharron Sharif and James Sanford.

Congratulations to our Malaysian Leaders—especially Steve Tan and Subass Chandran—for making Malaysia one of XanGo’s strongest international markets. Happy first birthday and Malaysia Boleh!
