Aaron Garrity, Founder/Chairman
With the nation mired in a recession in 2002, Aaron Garrity and his partners discovered a way to bring the coveted mangosteen fruit to the global marketplace and founded XanGo, a category-creating network marketing company.
Under Aaron’s leadership as president and CEO, XanGo became a driver of economic recovery and a story of unprecedented innovation in the direct sales industry. While exceeding $300M in sales with over 300,000 independent distributors in 3 years, Garrity maintained a focus on leading a company that would continually evolve to deliver the most potent opportunity to his distributors.
To those who know Aaron, his constant drive amidst skyrocketing success is consistent with his character. Garrity simultaneously earned an MBA and a Juris Doctorate while managing global marketing and product launches that reached millions in sales for a large multi-national health and nutrition company.
Recognizing his role in serving millions of home-based business owners, Ernst and Young honored Garrity with its prestigious 2006 Entrepreneur of the Year Award. Aaron followed that up by making Utah Business magazine’s Top 40 Under Forty list and, in March 2008, the publication named him CEO of the Year, noting his achievements in creating a company culture based on service, creativity and leadership at every level.
Garrity currently sits on the CEO council for the World Federation of Direct Selling Associations (WFDSA), the board of directors of the Direct Selling Association (DSA), and the board of directors for the Utah Valley Chamber of Commerce. With XanGo’s expansion to 33 international markets amid a global economic downturn, Garrity continues to press the innovation button, founding Blink Tank, an incubator for employees to pitch their own start-up ideas.
